Subsidiaries & Affiliates
APC’s goal is to develop and utilize the treasures of the Dead Sea. To accomplish this goal APC has implemented new projects  through  the  establishment  of  subsidiary  and  affiliate companies to own, build, operate and manage several Dead Sea ventures.
 
Arab Fertilizers &Chemicals Industries Ltd. (KEMAPCO)

This Company was established in 1999 with a capital of (42) million USD, as a Joint – Venture Company between APC and Kemira GrowHow of Finland. On February 1st, 2007 APC purchased the 50 percent interest owned by Kemira GrowHow to become the sole shareholder of Kempaco.
Kempaco was to produce 150,000 tonnes per year Potassium Nitrate/Fertilizer 75,000 tonnes per year Dicalcium Phosphate / animal feed and Nitric Acid.
 
Nippon Jordan Fertilizers Company (NJFC)

NJFC was formed pursuant to a Joint – Venture agreement dated July 1992, with a capital of 23.5 million USD, by and among.
- ZEN  NOH, Mitsubishi Kasei, Asahi and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) 60 % .
- Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) 20 %
- Arab Potash Company (APC) 20 %
The facility was constructed in Aqaba for the production of 300,000 tonnes per year NPK fertilizer and DAP Fertilizer (Di-Ammonium phosphate). The investment cost of this project was 83.5 million USD. Construction completion and start- up was in the year 1997. APC supplies 100 % of the company’s requirements of Muriate of Potash. The product of high quality NPK is sold mainly in Japan.
 
Numeira

This company was established in 1997, with a capital of (2) million USD. The plant is located at the southern end of the Dead Sea and produces about 20,000 tonnes per year Mixed Salts and 5,000 tonnes per year Dead Sea Mud. APC owns 100 % of the company.
The company is the sole provider of Dead Sea raw materials for the cosmetics industry in Jordan, which comprises more than 60 plants. Numeira also provides APC with bagging, handling & screening services.
 
Jordan Bromine Company
 
JBC is a private limited liability company established in May 1999, with an ownership basis of APC (50%) and Albemarle Hodlings Company of U.S.A (50%), to undertake the construction and operation of an integrated Bromine and Bromine derivatives manufacturing facility located at Safi-Jordan. Albemarle Holdings, the owner of the Know-How, will license technical information and patent rights and provide technical services to the Company for the production of Bromine & Bromine derivatives.
 
The following products will be produced:
 
-50,000 TPY of Elemental Bromine,mainly used to produce Bromine derivatives.
-25,500 TPY of Tetra Bromo Bis Phenol- A (TBBP - A), used as a flame retardant.
-40,000 TPY of Calcium Bromide,mainly used in the oil drilling industry.
-10,000 TPY of Sodium Bromide, used in photography.
-2,500 TPY Hydrogen Bromide.
